The secularists took religion and morality out of the public arena; as a consequence, aany Americans will believe in nothing, which means that they will believe in, and do anything, no matter how immoral, unethical or hurtful to others. I’d say I was astounded at the mendacity of those who urged this child to kill himself; unfortunately, I’m no longer surprised but fortunately, I am still disgusted by the fact we live in hte same society as such ogres.

I think a lot of the people who were supposedly egging him on weren’t taking his statements seriously.

The internet is full of people trying to scam others and get attention. I’m not surprised that some people thought this was a fraud.

In the minds of most Americans, being “moral” is very very easy. The bar is set very low. They don’t reject morality completely because they don’t want to be hated by others and they want to feel like “decent people”. They have an extremely simple and unelaborated maxim taken from the Pagan: “Do as you will but do no harm”. That’s it, the rest is up to interpretation. The do no harm part usually only applies to the following:

-No Shooting people unless there is a murderous rampage or hostage situation
-No raping children
-No raping women
-No stealing from non-relatives or non-spouses without government approval
-No interfering with the pursuit of bestial pleasure

That’s the gist of it but some is left up to further interpretation by individual liberals. Everything else is a choice left up to other selfish mongrels. Human life has no inherent value and the rules that compose this maxim are mostly for the sake of a social contract.
