Indeed I was there last spring. The Mount Vernon Ladies Association (and the exec dir. James Rees) have done an outstanding job with the museum, and, it does NOT disturb the serenity of the estate.

I imagine this program will deal a lot with the new findings at the Ferry Farm, which have not yet been covered by the museum at Mt. Vernon.

The difference between the way Mount Vernon is today ,thanks to the Mount Vernon Ladies Assoc, and the way it would be run if the National Park Service ran it should be noted.

The grounds and museums are first rate. The guides are well informed and best of all is the fact that God has not been left by the wayside.

If it has been more than 10 years since you last visited...go back.. We spent 5 hours there and could have stayed much longer.
