A few months ago my husband and I were on an evening walk with our dog. We met and started talking to a father and his 10 yo daughter. I was impressed by her manners and intelligent conversation. I said to my husband after we parted company “I bet she is home schooled.”

We met them further into our walk and found out yes, she was home schooled. Those darn home schoolers stick out like a sore thumb with their maturity, manners and intelligence.

Well, now we a have a class of children it’s okay to attack.
What if they’re Homeschooled because they have Autism?

We have missionary families visit our church often, most of whose kids are home-schooled. They fit in perfectly with the other children in Sunday School and Junior Church, and also can carry on intelligent conversations with the adults, some who have PhDs. They’re always poised and polite.
