I enjoyed it for what it was..a resolution to the problems left open in Casino Royale. Bond dealt with the demons left by the death of Vesper and learned how to deal with people who werent his enemies.

He eventually begins to care when the innocent die. His relationship with M changes too by the end of the film. She begins to realize he’s not a loose cannon, but the best man in the service.

I liked it very much, but wish they would put the gunbarrel sequence back at the beginning and leave it.

Did you also notice he’s dumped the P-99 pistol and is back carrying the PPPK again?

Thanks nufsed. I can’t really offer much input about the latest James Bond movies as I haven’t seen them. I’m still living in the past, having read the books and loved many of the earlier Bond actors, Connery being my favorite.

If you never read Flemmings first books, you should really do that.
