I can.
I don’t always agree with MM’s reviews, but he was absolutely right about this one, with only one exception: use of older things (boat, plane) was cool, not a problem.
But the cinematography was TERRIBLE. Great action scenes (I guess), lots happening (from the sound), but the photography was jumbled and oversliced and confusing, and all the great stunts and work was WASTED.
Very confusing plot, not about much.
TERRIBLE villain.
(SPOILER ALERT)
So he’s this limp, languid, licorice-whip of a guy with NO personality, right? Bond just overcomes, what, FOUR fellow-agents in an elevator, handcuffed? But then this wimp of a bad guy has an extended PEER-type fight with Bond, and ends up conscious. Sheesh.
I didn’t hate it, but I was disappointed. All that money, not well-spent.
My daughter went to see it today. She didn’t see much of a plot either. She didn’t see the point in even making the movie! She was not impressed. She liked the previous 007 with Craig. She doesn’t like the way they’ve changed the intro to the last two 007 movies either.
