Even those things will slow down as the money becomes less and less. When government is funding healthcare, healthcare becomes one more competitor for those dollars along with Defense and Earmarks and Housing and Highways, etc. Not only will there be less money but the best and brightest will no longer go into medicine because their talents can make more money in other fields, or if they do, they are apt to go offshore to set up their practices in the third world where their patients will be for those able to buy the air fare.
