There’s really no reason to go with the A2 anymore.

Unless you want to shoot in a service rifle competition. I tried to compete in a service rifle match not long ago and they wouldn't let me shoot because I had a A3- even though I had the standard carry handle attached.

They told me that it was standard practice.

I forgot about Service Rifle.
Strange they won’t let you shoot with the carry handle.
I’m pretty sure that free float tubes aren’t standard issue, either ;)
