I hear you. I hope you are wrong and that folks will wake up. Sometimes a people must lose what they treasure most to understand the necessity to act. It is my belief that the American people are more savy than that. Until I’m proven wrong, I’ll continue to hold onto this optomistic view.

Have you taken a look at the composition of the new Congress? You bet they can. And will.

I don't think congress will have to do it. The FCC can simply pass a regulation.

As of now the FCC is composed of 5 members: 3 repubs and 2 dems. The composition will change in 2009 (I think) and congress will most likely appoint a demo. to be the head.
