Well it's cheaper than the Sony 70" XBR7 widescreen that Amazon will have in December for "ONLY" $19,999. However there is no sales tax (Arnold) and I do believe they are nice and will include free shipping.

The 52" xbr6 is just under $2600. Both of these are LCD models. I currently have a 40" xbr4 which I love. I need to replace my 55" Mistubishi rear projection tv in which the blue convergence went out and I get a 3D effect and crappy blue color.

The Samsung 61” rear-projection with the LED engine is selling for around $1500. As much as I like the possibilities of the laser engine, I can’t justify paying $5500 extra. This is price-gouging, pure and simple, because the differences in what it costs to manufacture the two is probably no more than a couple of hundred bucks. The most I’d pay is $3500.

The new XBR’s are hands down amazing. I have a 40 V series Bravia I just got last NOV and now I want to stick that in the bedroom and get that new 46 XBR for the family room.
