Glenn Beck Calls Caller Anti-American
Heard on Beck show | Nov. 6, 2008 | RetSigman

Posted on 11/06/2008 9:30:18 AM PST by RetSignman

Glenn Beck this morning has been telling all his listeners that everyone should be acknowledging that obama is president to, only to himself, but to everyone.

One caller came on and expressed his concern for the obama presidency and was having a hard time calling obama as his president.

Beck jumped all over him, calling him ant-American. I immediately turned off his show and never will listen to his crap again.

Beck is obviously worried about being kept on the air after the 'Fairness Doctrine' gets reenacted.

Just so ya' know.

Did you hear Beck blatantly contradict himself?

First he said that he wanted courts to follow the constitution. Not adjust the constitution's meaning based on societal consensus, but stick to the original intent of the Framers.

Within about 90 seconds, he was ranting on the birth certificate issue, and how it's "off the table" because the American people have spoken.

IOW, we should obey the constitution, except for that annoying little part about "natural-born citizen" -- that part is optional, because Glen Beck and the Obama voters have said so.

Beck is starting to remind me of a more abrasive, nasty Hannity, in that both of them seem to think "conservative" means "agrees with me".

Conservatives shouldn't be screaming "GET OFF MY SHOW!!!" at anyone (got freedom of speech?), much less at someone who merely has a different understanding of conservatism than they do.

In 2012 let’s just put the presidency on Ebay and auction it off to the highest bidder. America - the only country where the presidency is actually for sale.

Just putting the name President in front of obama doesn’t erase what the man stands for or his belief system, evidently, with beck, it does and considers anyone who isn’t as naive as he is, is un-American.

No, beck is not saying that erases what the man stands for. That's not what he's saying at all. If you actually listened to him every day sir you'd know that beck has always said that the office of president must be treated with respect, even if we do not respect the person in that office. For that caller to refuse to acknowledge who the president will be was both childish and un-american. Ignoring the problem entering the white house and pretending like he isn't the president will solve nothing and does nothing to forward our cause.

We don’t need Ebay . We have the American Idol . All you need for the sheeple to love you is to give good speech.

The answer is yes to supporting the Constition while we still have it, Yes, to the OFFICE of the President, the caveat IS I will not be FORCED by anyone to support the man who occupies that office.

Did you know that in Communist nations they do not allow descent spoken against their leaders? In the near future you are going to see that ‘freedom of speech’ is going to denied to those who try to make any negative comments to our new ‘Leader’. It has already been begun with any words being tagged with RACIST.

I’ll enjoy my freedom to descent as long as I can.

[office of president must be treated with respect]

The foundation of that OFFICE has, at it’s bedrock, the Constitution of our country. The HOLDER of office come this January is Marxist, at the very least, a Socialist which erodes the Constitution and in return the OFFICE.

It your right to support the man in that office and, for time being, it my right to descent. The problem for you, in the near future, when you have discovered the danger he represents for our country, you will STILL have to support him against your will.

I’m speaking out now while I still have that right.

Are you modifying your original statement? IOW, are you now saying you won't support Obama's policies and actions (I don't support his policies or actions), or are you still saying you won't recognize him as President?

It's not clear from your reply.

Did you know that in Communist nations they do not allow descent spoken against their leaders?

BTW, I know that communist nations do not allow dissent against their leaders, but I hadn't heard they don't allow descent. AFAIK, communist systems always result in the descent of their people, lower in every category than before communism.

Sorry, I’m not going to try again, I didn’t think it was that cryptic.

I can respect the office and acknowledge his position without supporting him. He is a marxist and he will not get my support unless he has a sudden reformation, but he must prove the latter, I'm not expecting it. What I will not do is go around like a bush years liberal whining that he's "not my president" because I didn't vote for him. He is the president elect, a fact I'm ashamed of, but it's a fact whether I like it or not. The moment he begins to trample on my constitutional freedoms from the oval office I will do everything in my ability to stand up against him, I will speak out alongside you even if it means that we lose our freedom. Yes, our next president may jail us for going against the coming storm, for speaking out over the radio waves after the return of the unfairness doctrine, but there's nothing wrong in admitting that our president did it to us.
