This interesting part of this statement is that he doesn’t realize government mandates to ensure non-spoilage of food are at work here, not “perfect capitalistic abundance”.

Good point. One of many inconsistencies and contradictions in this incoherent drivel. Just shows what kind of intellect can not only get into but succeed in the Ivy League these days.

Correct. Add to that silly consumer pickiness that rejects any blemish on produce and other perfectly good food that isn't cosmetically perfect. I draw the line at badly dented cans. Botulism needs only a tiny pinhole to become deadly.
