I grew up in Maine. There’s a short list of things I still like and miss about the place. The Fryburg Fair, the Balloon Festival in Auburn, LL Bean, Georgio’s Pizza, the shops in the Old Port, Italian sandwiches, and those cookies made with potato covered in chocolate that taste like they’re made with coconut! I miss Captain Newick’s too, but I hear they closed. Great seafood, and lots of it on paper plates!

hmmm - sounds like you didn't get up ‘Down East’ and ‘Mid Coast”?

You didn't mention steamers, mussels and lobster - or fiddleheads? ;o)

Best place for lobster in the world, pulled straight out of the ocean and steamed in old brick ovens - then eaten out over the water -

hmmm - I think I just decided what I'm going to have for lunch tomorrow
