You have FR mail.
Still, the internal polls cited are pretty much unbelievable. But then again, so has the relentless drumbeat of MSM polls touting Obama with these huge leads.
So far as your concerns that Democrats are using "projection" on the Republicans, it is far too late for that. Even if all the mainstream polls suddenly started reporting tonight that McCain is ahead by a comfortable margin, all these months of endless pro-Obama polls have taken away any chance of Republicans being complacent this election.
If anything, the reverse is true. I think that a lot of Obama supporters, especially the younger ones, are so convinced that Obama has this in the bag, due to these relentless polls, that they may not bother voting. And that's okay by me.
First of all I was not commenting on Jim Quinn .. I was commenting on the guy who called in to Jim’s show and gave what I believe was phoney polling data. Jim may know the guy .. but he’s still suspicious to me.
Well .. the “internal polling” does not show Obama with “huge leads”. That’s the dirty little secret. IBD shows McCain nationally at within 2 pts of Obama. And .. here on FR there is a story about McCain taking the lead in OH.
As far as “projection” is concerned .. the dems have continued to use it since 2000 (when I first learned of this technique). By the way, it was Charles Krauthammer who exposed the dems .. and I presume you know Charles is a Psychiatrist.
You may have a point that because of the high polls for Obama, the new younger voters may sit this one out. And .. yes .. that is a good thing.
