Did you read the section on the soy bean famine and the train wreak? Wow! Does that ever parallel this current mortgage crisis!
I’ve just gotten to the part where all is being explained to Dagny. (I’ll leave it at that so I don’t give anything away to someone who hasn’t read it yet.)
I can only wonder what people thought when the book was written. Did it seem like quite a stretch or could some see us headed in this direction even then? It certainly isn’t a stretch now! I’m seeing amazing parallels throughout the entire book.
