By the way,

Mr. Redford refused to play in any movie unless he was some sort of 'hero'.

That's why I love Paul Newman....he played Eddie Felson in 'The Hustler'....he played a very self-centered rancher in 'Hud'....he played a real loser in 'Cool Hand Luke'.

Robert Redford will not take chances, neither politically nor in his acting career.

I admire Paul Newman. I miss him.

Robert Redford is a coward.

Maybe one of you can help out here. Redford or Newman? Gable or Bogart? Ginger or Mary Ann?

Newman made his career out of playing anti-heroes and chipping away at the virtues and traditions that made this country great.

Redford wants to be a hero but is little more than a prissy blowhard.

Both were/are affiliated with far-left ideology and anti-American organizations.

Who needs Hollywood?

Real heroes are all around you . . .

Very good! It worked! I clicked on the link and went to your website. Especially liked the last bit on the homepage, "I don't write blogs." Inspiring!

Regarding Robert Redford & Ilk, Husband and I just immediately and mutually decided NOT to go see "Appaloosa," a new Western movie being chatted-up among friends and staring Viggo Mortensen (Hidalgo, Lord of the Rings).

I went online to learn a little more ... "Appaloosa" is directed by and also stars ED HARRIS a slimy rat pimple whose extreme talent as an excellent actor (he's awful damned good, I have to admit) is triply exceeded by his extreme talent for being sh*theel political ass-wipe. He's worse than Alec Baldwin, and who thought such a thing was possible?

Paul Newman was an even better actor than Ed Harris. Paul Newman was also a gutsy guy and humanitarian at heart. His politics were stupid, but he was a gentleman. He done good.

So now you want my real opinion?

I just watched Newman in Slap Shot — talk about the anti-hero! What a hilarious movie (love the Hanson brothers).

I would not classify Paul Newmans character in Cool hand Luke as a loser per say, The great thing about that movie was that we cared about what happened to him. Anti Hero comes to mind, but that might not be the proper term for what I mean. Another great actor is Steve McQueen, In Papillon and Sand Pebbels he was just too awesome. For a guy like me the Duke will always be at the top of my short list, But I still appreciate the other great actors of our past. That said, it disgusts me that over 90% of Hollywood is enamored with socialism and the “O”. I actually have more respect Danny Boanaduce, and Chuck Norris than I would ever have for most of these other Hollywood Libtards. I don’t go to movies, I buy the DVD, and my FRiends I’m telling you I’m not gonna buy Will Smiths Hancock.. Not because I hate him, or Robert Redford for that matter, I just don’t feel the need.

But then there are the real Libtards out there who are real idiots (like Canye West, Bono, J Fonda, etc) that think they are better, or smarter than the rest of us. (All three of which I do truly despise). Redford seems almost “puppyish” in comparison.

Hollywood:

Act, Sing, or whatever.. Don’t be dumb enough to assume you know more about politics than the average person.
