I thought you had some first hand knowledge of the Newport Pier....Apparently..and once again, I am wrong. Not the last time.

I actually "shot the pier" more than once in my youth...on a few 6-7 ft. swell days.

Fun days....As was watching the dory guy's and a woman or two....come in. As a fisherman myself....I enjoyed watching those boats come in...and anticipating their catch.

Wasted a few years searching for swells in that area.....56th St. was my main spot....but surfed from Huntington to Ensenada.
