One of the comments on NBC6 notes this Quote:

“.”You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot help the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by encouraging class hatred.
You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away man’s initiative and independence.
You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves.”

It’s credited to ABRAHAM LINCOLN

These idiots all think that Abraham Lincoln was a democrat.

Slaves never had to worry about putting gas in their cars or paying their mortgages. The plantation owner fed them and put a roof over their heads.

This lady has a slave mentality. When she becomes enslaved by the government, like all citizens of Communist countries, I guess it will be just hunky dory with her because her owner will be a black man.

That’s actually not from Lincoln, although commonly attributed to him. Great quote, tho.

Here are some other great Lincoln quotes:

“Property is the fruit of labor...property is desirable...is a positive good in the world. That some should be rich shows that others may become rich, and hence is just encouragement to industry and enterprise. Let not him who is houseless pull down the house of another; but let him labor diligently and build one for himself, thus by example assuring that his own shall be safe from violence when built.”

“Labor is prior to, and independent of, capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration.”

“Those who deny freedom to others, deserve it not for themselves; and, under a just God, can not long retain it.”
