**Truthorfiction, maybe, but not snopes.**

Snopes said Algore never said “I was instrumental in creating the internet. Yet I saw the video clip where he did .. so I’ll check snopes .. but I’ll doublecheck.

They set up the strawman about “inventing” the Internet just so they can claim he never said anything so stupid, but the above is exactly what he said. Inventing sounds stupider because of course he never invented anything (besides maybe carbon “offsets”, something that doesn't actually exist), but it shows he is a megalomaniac who thinks nothing would get done without the government in particular and Albert Gore Jr. in specific.
