I am a NC voter for >15 years. When we vote we fill out a small paper with our name and address on it, then hand it to a poll worker. The poll worker then asks me my name and address while checking it against a huge printout book. The worker then checks off our name on the printout sheet.

When we vote early the procedure is the same except that the poll worker checks our name and address against the computer, no printout.

I early voted in TN and my registration card has a number that identifies me. It was all I had to show, but after she entered the information I would imagine I am locked out at this point. (I hope that is the case)
