It’s insane to start these games at 8:35PM on a school night.
How is THE GAME going to draw interest from youngsters when they...like most starting pitchers....have to be ‘yanked’ after the 5th inning??
Games end so late that sometimes you don’t get (complete) coverage in papers; in Boston, the Herald is actually printed about 90
miles away in Chicopee these days so for many editions,
the next day’s paper’s coverage will be basically stories
written before the game, AND “...Sox lead 2-1 in 4th...”

I do remember staying up to see the Fisk HR in game 6 of
the ‘75 world series. I woulda been about 13 and a half
at the time. 12:30 am or something?
