Believe it or not, Shatner's last album "Has Been" was excellent and featured guests like Joe Jackson, Aimee Mann, Henry Rollins and Brad Paisley. It was produced by Ben Folds.

And people always think I'm joking when I tell them that the single from that album, "Common People" is one of the best songs of the decade. But it is.

Here's a video of it, with Ben Folds on keyboards and Joe Jackson singing with Shatner. It seriously kicks ass.

Great album. It's hard to tell how much is the real Shatner, how much is the role he likes to play, and how much is the creation of the songwriters.
