To adopt his perspective, the blame could be on the failure of the "progressive/liberal" community, to deal in equal measure with the lack of "empathy" of societies that project war on us -- such as Militant Islam. Could he ask: Why aren't feminists organized and protesting the treatment of women in societies governed by Sharia law, with the same focus and intensity they protest perceived inequities in US society? Has Congresswoman Lee, taken any effective action to oppose that?
