Now I am in no way throwing in the towel, but I can not live with the sinking feeling of despair for another two weeks.
An Obama Presidency will lead to more handouts for the poor and lazy. Pro-abortion and anti gun Supreme court nominations will further the liberal agenda. Increasing Muslim support will undermine Isreals attempt to protect itself. The silver lining to this is people will see what is happening to our American ideals and swing from the left to the right.
America always goes from one extreme to the other. This will be no exception. While it is the now the popular thing to be a liberal democrat we will eventually see a balance to at least the middle, like a pendulum.
I hope to God I am right, I believe that Obama supporters are not evil people, just stupid, I mean uninformed ;).
I think that over time, Obama bashing will take the place of Bush bashing in a year or two.
Anyone feel the way I do?

The American people, or at least 51% of them, are about to enter into a delusional twilight zone. It happens every so often.
Let them.
Unlike Carter, it will only take a year before these same people see the error of their ways. Their taxes will go up. Their jobs will be taken by a new, even larger flood of illegal aliens. The national debt will make Bush look like a penny-pincher. We will have our nose rubbed in it by a series of petty dictators, to whom Obama will grovel. The military will be cut back to the levels of the 1930s, and a series of embarassing failures will totally demoralize the troops. Corruption will exceed by multiples anything the hapless Republicans were capable of.
It will be a tough four years (two years in the House), but the people will eventually see the light.
What’s really important for us is that when the people start looking elsewhere for help, we have a solid team of conservatives waiting to take the helm. If we offer them more RINOs offering Democrat-lite approaches, the Democrats will prevail.
Start working for 2010 and 2012.
In a couple of years I’ll be able to tell my lib friends/relatives “I told you so”.
I thought it was quite fitting, and never call FR a ‘blog’ - that’s really demeaning.
Stop worrying, you’re new here and based on your fear I’m betting you’re new to being a political junkie. We have seen all of this before, the MSM misrepresents the actual picture in hopes of suppressing Republican turn out. It never works (especially after the blatant attempt in 2000). Remember, they told us all day that John Kerry had already won right up to the point that they had to declare Bush the winner. The polls are always biased to the Left.Obama is not going to get the electoral votes.

I guess I should have said the other 1/2 of America that is dumb enough to vote for him. 1/2 of America has been smart enough to figure him out already.

No upside to an Obama presidency. Liberal courts that will take decades to recoup. A dismantled military that leaves America weak. Millions more babies slaughtered. No, there is no upside to allowing this Muslim in our White House.
