No horns yet? From tv, it looks like the fans are still hanging around the Trop or having refreshments. They’re probably in shock too being part of baseball history.

Congratulations Rays.
The Rays are an inspiration to all young, rebuilding teams.

75 World Series Cincinnati v Boston still the best Ive ever seen. The players that are in the HOF and those who should be is a long list Fred Lynn deserves to be in it, just for his performance that year. The greatest ever by a rookie.

Depends on how you gauge things.
Garza, Price, Pena, Aybar came up big. Lester, Ortiz, Bay, Drew, Youkilis did not.

Actually, 2008 proved that the ban on amphetamines in the MLB meant younger teams are the way to go if you want to win. The Rays are one of the youngest teams in the MLB, period. Even the Phillies prove this: most of their best players are well under 30 years old.

You forgot about the Gators winning the BCS Championship Game by pounding Ohio State in a blowout, when everyone thought it was going to be a close game. :-)

Ray’s beat Boston!
I love it when ANY team BEATS Boston, but this is very sweet.

I switched to Ch. 39. They kept broadcasting until I think after 1:00 am and then replayed it. Florida Sports Network. Yay Rays! New t-shirt for me asap! Maybe a cap...This is going to help Florida’s retailers.
