The last 2 years the World Series has seen expansion teams from Colorado and Florida.
Boston still ROCKS!
No, that would be the Yankees, who didn't even make it to the post-season.
Boston was the defending champs.
Woo hoo! Every station all RAYS celebration... We’re goin’ to the World Series! (more stressful than defeating Obama!)
Coco’s slide....Drew’s properly-checked swing called a strike...getting intimidated by brush-back pitches early...ball going through Buckner’s legs...
Why is Boston an epic fail? The Rays won the division and were the favorites in the playoffs from the AL side? How is that an epic failure from Boston, unless of course you are the ‘at large ambassador’ of the ‘2 inch crowd’, Boston, just goes down as another victory for the Rays...another in a long line of victories...
Of course I could be wrong...but not about the 2 inch ambassador line...that was inspired..and you are...
Boston still ROCKS!
uh..okay, that was 1986...twice WS Champs in 3 years tells me Boston is doing a o k.
Oh come on. Boston has the “best team” with the most money. They folded. Tampa should’ve never won against them but they came on strong.
Oh well, Boston still has the Patriots....oh wait. Oh well they still have the Celtics.
Dude, the Rays were the best team in the AL East all year...recheck your history...you are selling them way short...
....especially when you consider the Yankee team payroll was $209,081,579.00 (1st/highest out of 30 teams) vs. the Rays $43,820,598.00 (29th out of 30)
I’m a Cincinnati Reds fan, they talked in the 80’s about moving the Reds down to Tampa where the Reds had their spring training home. Also, 2005 World Champion Chicago White Sox blackmailed Illinois to help build the Cell to keep them from relocating to Tampa.
I wonder what former Reds manager Lou Pinella, who managed the Reds last World Series champions. A team that was never out of 1st place and beat the Pirates 4-2 in NLCS and swept the Mighty Oakland A’s is thinking tonight?
He left the Tampa Bay Devil Rays to manage the Chicago Cubs, now the Rays are in the World Series. Who would have thought it, I’m sure Lou didn’t.
land of Kennedy and Frank-rock on bro!
Do the results of steroidal game-players games really merit “Breaking News”?
Obama is supposed to be in Tampa tomorrow. What are the chances of him taking credit for this win??
Amen to that! Even with upstarts such as Tampa Bay, they cannot raise a candle to the legendary Boston Red Soxs! Thank-you Boston for all that you have done. Will root for yous come next year! :)
