Maybe this has been posted already, but I've grown tired of the talking points about how smart Obama is...from liberal supporters to liberal and conservative pundits alike. As a black conservative, I know that if we were talking about a black Republican, all of the following would be brought up. Fair is fair, so let's scrutinize the background evidence for this claim:
1. Obama won't release his transcripts: no undergrad grades, SATs, LSATs, or Harvard Law grades. At this time in other elections, we knew all of this and more about Bush, Gore, Kerry, etc.
2. We know Obama didn't graduate from Columbia with honors, yet he got into Harvard Law:

3. He apparently graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law in 1991, but I can find no definitive proof of this other than news articles that repeat the claim. If someone has, please post it. But consider this: Harvard Law conferred honors upon 4 out of 5 graduates (80%) until 1999 when they cut it back to 40% of graduates:

This means that magna cum laude could have been top 50-30% or so of their class! Certainly not as impressive as the definition of magna cum laude (top 10%) at Harvard Law currently:

A liberal friend sent me the link for the current grading system to defend Obama's law degree honors, but I promptly sent him the LATimes article and haven't heard nary a word from him since.
4. According to the NYTimes, until the 70s, editors to the Harvard Law review were selected on the basis of grades and the president was the highest ranking student:

The system was changed to also let students on the review through a writing competition in order to "ensure that minority students became editors of the Review." Presidents are no longer the highest ranked student, but is chosen through an election process.
5. As president of the Harvard Law review, and in his time at U of Chicago, he published not one scholarly article, and yet was in line to be a faculty member of the U of Chicago law school:

So note all of these facts when you get into a future debate with someone about how brilliant Obama is. Maybe he is brilliant, but these facts show there are plenty of holes in the evidence pile for that claim.

Just got a call from the Obamaites... their caller is even stupider than the Messiah... I danced her around with silly answers and finally chanted NADER! NADER! into the phone.
I guess that puts me lower on the list for re-education.

A Freeper posted an article from the “Asian Times” at http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Front_Page/JB26Aa01.html in which Obama was characterized as the political equivalent of a sociopath. He is a genius in his own way. He’s got roughly half of all Americans under his spell. This is remarkable. Nineteen years after the fall of the Berlin Wall, we stand ready to be taken over in a stealth Communist campaign.
I wonder if His Obamic Holiness used a ghost writer for this one too? Ayers, perhaps?
Obama is too smart to know that we have only 50 states.
