Somewhere around, I believe I have a picture from a Marine Parents conference held earlier this year. Col. Brian McCoy, author of The Passion of Command, was there. After all was over and everyone was kicking back in my suite, a bunch of folks showed up in casual dress. To make a long story short, there’s a picture of a bunch of feet with fuzzy bedroom slippers. The one wearing the hot pink ones is Col. McCoy, LOL! What a great guy with a sense of humor. Same night I met Col. Willy Buhl, the former 3/1 Marines C.O. during the battle for Fallujah.
