I differ on tactics here. This is purely knee-jerk reactionary and defensive, not offense.

At this VERY LATE stage of the game, instead, they should grab those plungers and head DOOR TO DOOR in their own communities, armed with recent phone polling intelligence from GOP as to who is committed GOP vote, and/or do literature drops, or stuff envelopes, or leaflet churches, bowling alleys and in parking lots, leaflet parked car windows, fan out at events and talk to strangers and family, rather than traipse off to D.C. at this very late date and walk around Capitol Hill (which is empty anyways because of the election and everybody is gone). The game is going to be won at the precinct levels all across the land, not in Washington, D.C. Conservatives generally do not turn out large D.C. crowds on issues--it will look ridiculous if it is just a couple of hundred down by the reflecting pool; they are best used at the next 2.5 weeks reporting for duty at their local party offices for Sarah non stop 24/7, or work out of their homes calling voters lists, anything, at this stage. I appreciate the enthusiasm, but I think it is missplaced. It is too late for this. Maybe bring those plungers--make them all plastic if need be, (if they let them in) to a massive Sarah rally, that might be better.

While the march is a good idea, I do agree with you. The grassroots level is where elections are won.

WE ALREADY HAVE THE VOTES TO ELECT MCCAIN/PALIN, WE JUST NEED TO GET THEM TO THE POLLS.

Turnout is what will win this election.

“Conservatives generally do not turn out large D.C. crowds on issues...”

Do they ever turn out in large crowds for anything anymore?

By the time they figure it’s a good time climb down from their “high-road” high horse they will be met by a jackbooted Obama disciple and an AK-47.

They’ve been gang raped by their politicians during the past few weeks and they can’t even muster the courage to get angry lest we “look bad” to the moderates.

It’s “late” alright...
