I just loved that program. The Nairobi Trio was my favorite....it always brought some belly laughs.
Type "Nairobi Trio Video" on Yahoo search for some old-fashioned yuks.
RIP, Edie.

How sad for Edie, she lost both husband and daughter in separate auto accidents..

Yep, it’s been a long time since that fateful night in LA, January, 1962. I remember my Dad telling me news about Ernie. Recently I was reading alot about him on the internet, what a talented guy.
To: All
Awww crap.
She was a true Lady in every sense of the word and a talented performer.
I have a feeling that Ernie was there waiting for her, with the song “Mack The Knife”, being sung in the original German, playing in the background...

Just last week I saw her with Doris Day, Rock Hudson, Tony Randall and Donna Douglas in “Lover Come Back”, she played the VIP girl. My favorite of all the Doris Day-Rock Hudson movies. Though I practically know it by heart I saw that it was still funny and well done. Them days is gone.

There will be laughter in heaven tonight when Ernie and Eddie are united again to perform before the thrown of G-d. May they hear the thunderous applause of the heavenly host. Rest in peace knowing you gave the sad world the gift of laughter.

Classy dame indeed!
Some interesting details about her can be found here.

She was so incredibly sexy.

In the Seventies, she expanded into opera. I saw her in Seattle in “Cosi fan tutte” and “La perichole”.

She worked hard to clear Kovac’s trouble with the IRS and to save as much of the tapes and kinescopes that she could.

Thanks for the ping...very sorry to hear this. I think she was the first one to arouse my male hormones.
