Fight The Smears: Birth Certificate
Fight The Smears ^

Posted on 10/16/2008 4:12:46 AM PDT by BCW

Smears claiming Barack Obama doesn’t have a birth certificate aren’t actually about that piece of paper — they’re about manipulating people into thinking Barack is not an American citizen.

The truth is, Barack Obama was born in the state of Hawaii in 1961, a native citizen of the United States of America.

Next time someone talks about Barack’s birth certificate, make sure they see this page.

Every notarized document I have ever seen presents the embossed (raised) seal on the front of the document. As noted in my earlier post, the official seal of San Diego is clearly presented on the front of my official BC.

Can someone please tell me how long exactly you have to be here to not be called a newbie and a troll by some INDIVIDUAL who doesn’t like what you say?

Minimum of 1-2 years, but could go on for 3-4 years.

Although, in the past few months I have witnessed 1-3 y/o FReepers call 10 y/o FReepers trolls.

I think the later part of your question is the key:
by some INDIVIDUAL who doesn’t like what you say

It's the Obama factor: If you don't like what someone says, call them racist...or in this case, TROLL.

You've made some excellent posts during your four months here. Keep up the good work and welcome to FreeRepublic.

Obama is a US citizen. There is no doubt about that.

No doubt? I must have missed that information. I have seen no documentation proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is indeed a US citizen.

What is weird is that the question of the Marxist Onada’s birth country is still a question at this stage of the Presidential Campaign.

When I faced with this kind of conundrum, I ask myself what a reasonable person would do to answer the question.

A reasonable person, IMO, would produce a birth document that states where he/she was born. Most of us are born in a hospital. The parents are given a birth certificate, with an official embossed seal, stating where and when the birth occured. In other words the baby was born in such and such hospital in Teaneck, NJ, USA.

Of course American parents give birth all over the world. I’m not sure how it works if American parents birth a baby in, say, a Nepalese hospital. Perhaps someone else can weigh in on that situation.

But if American parents overseas are members of the diplomatic corps or US military they will normally give birth in US Army, Navy and Air Force “field” hospitals. These field hospitals are considered US Soil. It was the case with one of my sons who was born in Germany and another who was born in Thailand.

It was also the case with McCain having been born in the Panama Canal Zone. You may recall that early on after the Marxist Onada was named Dem Pres. candidiate, the dems tried make a big deal out of McCain being born in the Panama Canal Zone. This was a dishonest attempt by the Marxist Onada camp to call into question McCain’s country of birth. And it was in direct response to the questions about the Marxist Onada’s birth country. The Senator was born in a US Navy field hospital. There was never any legitimate question of his birth country.

I should also point out that the original legal action taken to force the Marxist Onada to produce a valid birth certificate was brought by Hillery Clintoon supporters. It is still being pursued.

All developed nations and many so-called third world countries have a birth documentation process in place. There is an international protocol that governs what info should be included in a birth certificate for it to be considered valid. Country of birth is essential because it can impact on people down the road.

For example, two of my sons who were born overseas held dual US-German and US-Thai citizenship, respectively. My wife and I chose to annul my first son’s German citizenship. Why did we annul the German citizenship? Germany had a military draft in effect when my son was born there in 1966. If I had made the US Army a career it was possible I could be ordered to duty in Germany again. Hence, without annuling the German citizenship he could be eligible for German military draft. We didn’t bother anulling the Thai citizenship for the second boy, because it didn’t seem likely we or he would return there again. Thailand, too, had a draft.

My point: If the Marxist Onada was born on “US Soil” the information on the birth certificate would be governed by international protocol. It would include country of birth. As he apparently cannot produce the appropriate document, I believe it can be inferred he is not a US citizen.

The Marxist Onada appears to be unable to produce a birth certificate that documents where he was born. If such a document existed isn’t it reasonable to expect that the Marxist Onada, with the help of the dem shill media, would have plastered broadsides of the thing in every paper in the country—and broadcast it on the electronic media a well?

So, the question remains—where is it?

Hey Just A Nobody, I sure do appreciate that!

I tell you, it took a while for me to build up nerve to join, but once I did, the fingers started flying.

I read for a while, but I would get so frustrated in wanting to post and so I joined. And I’m glad I did.

And thanks again for saying I’ve made good posts. I am Republican and proud. And I’m proud of the smart folks here who educate me when I stumble up on something that confuses me or I need clarification on. 99% have always been nice and helpful. And you guys are FUNNY! Who said Liberals have the market in humor?

I do get frustrated with McCain sometimes, or mostly his campaign staff, but Palin is a shoe in for me. My husband and I (and he is politically minded, but not too in depth with it) has actually let me join us as a couple in the campaign down here. For the first time in his life, he is actively involved and it’s for Sarah. She inspired him. He said on her nomination speech “Good God, one of us is going to the White House”. I’m grateful to her and would one day love to shake her hand. And as the mother of a son who conceived a child out of wedlock (although married before birth) I am proud she is standing beside her daughter and acknowledging the same mentality we had with our son. “You did a grown up thing, you are now a grown up. But I will help you all I can”. I so admire her!

AND, we have two children with special needs. One with a mild form of Spina Bifida, but it effects us nonetheless. And a child who is a dwarf. Those are issues that is important to us!

Here are phone numbers for BO’s senate office (312)886-3506 and his campaign office (866)675-2008. I called yesterday questioning when he was going to provide his vault copy of his BC. The lady I spoke with told me he already did. I told her that one was a fake. Then I asked her how an American citizen could obtain an Indonesian passport. She was left speechless. I went round and round with the lady and she finally told me to go to Factcheck.com and Fightthesmears.com. I told her that those are both biased websites. She finally told me that she could not answer my questions but would voice my concerns.

Have some fun today and call his offices and ask the same question. See what kind of response you get.

Calpernia and null & void have provided you, endlessly, with proof that your statements are misleading, if not false.

It my make sense to demand proof of citizenship for the office of the president but its never been an issue until now. There is NO legal constitutional requirement to demonstrate citizenship. (Nor be capable of having a security clearance granted by the standard USG security vetting process! No political party would tolerate such a requirement!)

*sigh* THEY have imposed a requirement for us to prove we are legally able to work in the US before we can even wash dishes.

God forbid we'd dare to ask the same of the finger that would be on the button...

IB4TZ on an apparent CoLB troll.

My standard IB4TZ post:

Sung to the tune of “Oh! Susanna, don’t you cry for me.” .... “Oh, no Bama, please don’t lie to me... for I’m off to Free Republic with a laptop on my knee.”

I come from Minnesota with my laptop on my knee; | I’m goin’ to Free Republic my true love for to see. | It rained all night the day you left, | the weather it was dry; | The sun so hot you froze to death, | Obama don’t you lie. | | Oh! No Bama, don’t you lie to me; | I come from Minnesota, with my laptop on my knee.

I had a dream the other night, | When everything was still; | I thought I saw Obama dear, | A-coming for The Hill. | The smearing lie was in Duluth, | The croc tear in his eye, | Said I, I’m coming for the truth | Obama don’t you lie. | | Oh! No Bama, don’t you lie to me; | I’m off to Free Republic, | with my laptop on my knee.

I fight in my pajamas, | It’s plain for all to see. | I aim to be the next Buckhead; | The media all hate me. | I fell in love with Sarah | When my sister bit a moose. | The Guvnor’s family ate it up | And then they set it loose. | | Oh! No Bama, don’t you lie to me; | I’m off to Free Republic, | with my laptop on my knee.

She loves her sons, she likes her guns, | and Triggernometry. | The media will jump the shark | When Juan makes history. | Well, JimRob knows she’ll pave the trolls | So controversially, | And Berg will knock Obama down | With friends of Hillary. | | Oh! No Bama, don’t you lie to me; | I’m off to Free Republic with a laptop on my knee.

I soon will be in Hawaii, | And then I’ll look all ‘round, | And when I find his birth record, | I’ll fall upon the ground. | But if I do not find it, | This Freeper’ll surely die, | And when I’m dead and buried, | Obama don’t you lie. | | Oh! No Bama, don’t you cry for me; | I’m off to Free Republic with a laptop on my knee.

“It my make sense to demand proof of citizenship for the office of the president but its never been an issue until now. There is NO legal constitutional requirement to demonstrate citizenship.”

Let’s be clear on one thing: we’re not just talking about citizenship, but “natural-born citizenship.” You can be the former without necessarily being the latter, yet the latter is 1/3 of the Article 2 requirements necessary to run for and/or hold the highest office in the land.

And I agree: this has never been an issue before because I believe the political parties in this country are pretty good at vetting their candidates.

I also believe that most people seeking the highest office in the land know what’s required and are generally honorable enough to know when they can’t meet such bare minimums.

Unfortunately, we know that some on the far left would love nothing more than to force a constitutional crisis that would allow them to reshape this country in the former Soviet Union’s image and likeness. They would - I believe - attempt to do something like this through the chaos this very situation might create.

Imagine the racial violence that is likely to ensue from a court decision that either denies an Obama candidacy, or nullifies his election.

For that reason alone, I am inclined to believe that this case is going to be dismissed on the grounds that Berg has no standing to bring such a suit. The federal courts are not, after all, blind to the legal, political, and social consequences their decisions create.

Think about a Supreme Court decision a few years back when a very conservative court had the chance to overturn Roe v. Wade. Sandra Day O’Connor, in writing for the majority that let it stand basically wrote, “Roe v. Wade has worked pretty well the last 20 years.” Obviously that was a decision based not on law, but on social expediency.

So the question is, will the judge - any judge or court in this country - compel Obama to surrender documents proving he’s constitutionally eligible to run for the presidency?

For my part, I don’t think there’s a judge or court in this country with the guts to do it and, in failing to do so, will move our great nation one step closer to that of a Banana Republic.

Of course, one can continue to hope.
