Yup. I’d go sailin’ with Palin in the Gulf of Alaska.

Good point, now there will be a run on all things lead (Lighting ballasts, fishing weights, old “pewter” cabinet handles, batteries, etc....)

I’ve said for years......that it’s quite possible with the internet....to have millions of actual tax-payers tell the Feds to stuff it. Come get us!
I am not smart enough to know how it would all shape up....but I can “see” it happening.
What makes you think that under Marxist censorship there would still be an internet as we know it today?

Your swamp sounds pretty secure and I predict you would be just fine.
Recommend you plan for more than 4 years, however.
With both the Senate and House of Reps, a marxist president will likely find an “emergency” such as civil unrest to prolong his office.

1- Buy a .22 rifle and learn to shoot squirrels and small game.
2- Buy larger rifle (muzzle loader, Thirty-ought-six, Thirty-Thirty, etc) and learn to shoot deer and large game.
3- Buy a shotgun and learn to shoot it (can use for deer and other animals and birds).
4- Be sure you buy lots of ammo for your rifles. (If you can afford it, buy a reloader.)
5- Buy a handgun and ammo for personal protection.
6- Learn to grow edible plants from seed and how to save seeds from your plants to use the next year.
7- Learn how to can your own food.
8- Learn how to gut what you killed with your rifles and prepare the meat to eat.
9- Learn how to tan the hides of what you killed to eat.
10- Learn how to dry meat.
11- Learn how to sew in order to make your own clothing, etc.
12- Learn husbandry so that you can keep a couple of goats, sheep, chickens, and possibly a cow, and a horse.
13- Make friends with others who know the “basic arts of survival” and can teach you what you need to know to survive.
Google what you want to know or think you’d need to know and make a hard copy.
Buy a water filter or purifier. Buy a sewing machine and sewing supplies and learn how to sew your own clothing. Learn to knit and crochet.
Just a FEW ideas.

Good point, now there will be a run on all things lead (Lighting ballasts, fishing weights, old pewter cabinet handles, batteries, etc....)I find it's easier just to stay friendly with the local scrap yard. I can buy scrap lead (and other metals) there for not much more than they pay for it, and a fraction of what it would cost to buy retail, without all the running around.
I was at the local scrap yard last weekend, and picked up 14 lbs of brazing rod out of his brass scrap. It had been flux coated at one time, but looked like it had gotten wet, and the flux fell off but that's just a minor inconvenience. I paid 1.50 / lb for it. Bare rod is around 10.00 / lb retail.

Americans did invent gorilla warfare.Guerrilla warfare, too.
The PETA freaks spoiled the fun for the gorilla kind of warfare.

Are you f**king nuts? Is this some sort of DU scam to poke conservatives with a sharp stick so you can laugh at the reactions? Seems like it. Realistically, if Obama is elected he'll probably follow the same trajectory as Clinton- his liberal policies during his first two years in office will lead to the Dems losing the House and maybe the Senate and he'll be forced to tack back towards the center if he wants to be re-elected in 2012. Taxes will get higher, but not radically so, especially if we're in the middle of a recession.
Life will go on and the political spectrum will right itself after a few years, as it always does.

What can you do if you do not live in the country?
Buy land in the country with a stream and a good place for a well. With lots of trees and a nice place for a garden.
Read up on building a home out of downed trees or using sod or making your own mudbricks. Read up on how to camouflage so that you can't be seen by Big Brother's Satellite.
Et Cetera Ad Nauseum Ad Vomitum.
In the City or Town, design a "hidey hole" for yourself and your family. Buy what you need to create it. (No holes in the ground, more like what people had in Europe for the Jews.) You may only need to hide the men and boys or you may need to hide your children. We won't know until we know.
BUT wait until November 5 to make any decisions.

You are probably more correct than any of us who are thinking the worst of the worst. Life will go on. Pres Bush and Congress have spent all the money so that any bills that need funding aren't going to get any and will then fizzle in Congress. And in two years, the voters will vote in an overwhelmingly Conservative/Republican Congress.
And life will go on. But I disagree that if Obama is POTUS that he will shift towards the middle to get reelected. I do not believe that he is capable of doing so because all his "friends and supporters" are so far left. Obama will be a One Term President IF he is in truth elected POTUS.

What can you do if you don't live in the Country Store canned food under the bed. Buy Sterno. You can cook on it, heat water. Purchase battery operated fans and lanterns. Purchase candles for when you can't get batteries. Purchase a Zippo lighter, flints and lighter fuel. Purchase matches. Buy a deck of cards. Your local Dollar Store has alot of things at a reasonable price, as does the Surplus store. Hope that helps some
