There’s a cure for everything mice may have.You have to have proof of principle in mammals before you experiment in humans. This is just getting an understanding of type 1 diabetes. Alpha1-antitrypsin therapy would most likely have to be by intravenous administration, which isn't very convenient.

You have to have proof of principle in mammals before you experiment in humans. I was being a smartypants, and I don't know if it's true or not, but I did read a few years ago that cancer in mice is cured.
