This is my first post here.
The Nation of Islam is to Islam what Trinity United is to Christianity. It’s Black Liberationist and views a mulatto named Fard as the incarnation of God. Obama is also of mixed race, and being that Nation of Islam views black men as “Divine”, the reference to Obama as the Messiah is appropriate for the cult.
This has little to do with traditional Islamic concepts of the Mahdi.
