After more than 25 years of Air Force experience, I dont want another .223 in my hands.I think he ordered his chambered for 7.62mm. But, I can tell you that his new rifle will be sturdy and very easy to field strip and clean. I wish I had one for private use, or if they allowed me to bring one to Iraq, I would love to have one chambered for 7.62mm NATO even without the "burst" option (I only use the Semi function on my M16 or M4 anyways).

Everything I posted was .308win & 7.62x51N???
I have .223 and 5.45x39, but shoot mostly 30s; .308, 7.62x39, 7.62x51, & 7.62x54....
