McCain and His Capmaign Needs to Stay on Message
My email to McCain Campaign | 10/11/08 | vnguyen101

Posted on 10/11/2008 6:37:33 PM PDT by vnguyen101

We need to turn this campaign around. It is in a downwad spiral. The messages are incoherent. Not only is Senator McCain and his campaign delivering different messages on different days, but the ads say one thing and the person (Senator McCain) says another. Is Senator Obama danerous or not? We ran an ad saying that he is a dangerous man - which we all agree - yet he went on and say that people should not be "scared" of Obama as president. What? Let's stay on message. We can disagree with the person in te audience for calling Obama "Arab" but that does not mean he is not dangerous or that we should not be scared. We darn right should be scared because this election is about not just experience and steady leadership (no one cares about experience at this point -- otherwise, Oboama would not be where he is and Gov. Palin would not be on the ticket) but about where this country will be heading and the basic principle and philosphy of McCain vs. Obama. Do we want a radical leftist, a socialist, a Marxist, running this cournty at this moment in time, or any moment at all? Do we want someone with shady past and associations running the country at this moment in time? Do we want radical leftists (Obama, Pelosi, Reid) controlling both the White House as well as the Congress? Wake up. The only way for us to change the game is for us to define the playing field and stay on message. We will not win if we play Obama's game --- economy. We are at a disadvantage. When the ecomony goes bad, the party in the White House gets the blame no matter what really triggered it (Fannie and Freddie --- brain child of the Democrats). So let Obama talk about the economy. We just need to reassure people that we will fix it and steps are already being taken to help stablize it. Stay calm and our productive and innovation work force will turn this economy around. We always have. Stay on message about differentiating our philosophy -- smaller government, personnal responsiblity, strong militarty, national security, consevative judges -- versus a radical leftist, a community organizer (ACORN), who wants government to take over every aspects of our lives, who together with the liberal media will censor free and open debates/ideas, who will appoint radical liberal judges who will legistlate form the benches. This is how we change the game and hammer home why this campaign exists and why we must not allow Obama in the White House. We need to run ads to spread our messages and we need to amplify our messages on the stump and in meetings, and in debates. And our messages must be consistent and coherent. We cannot pander and step back because we are afraid of the liberal media. Doing so is cowardly. Doing so is stupidity because we essentially fight with our hands behind our back. As long as we stay with the facts and be angry for the right reasons that this radical liberal has gotten a pass from the liberal media (painting him as a main stream American -- HE IS NOT) why must we be afraid of speaking, of screaming, of yelling until our messages are heard in every town, city, and state in this great country? Yes, a great country that Obama and his lots hates. Tell the stories, speak the facts, hit home our messages of why we are better for America, of why people shold be fearful and scared of the prospect of Obama in the White House and Pelosi and Reid in Congress together. This is not fear mongering. This is about the future, the safety, the security, and the prospertity of this country we are figthing for and defending. Let's change the game. Let's focus people's attentions on what is really at stake in this election and not let the economic issue clouds everyone's judgement. We must stay on our message. One, Obama is a dangerous radical lefist who wants government intrusion in every espects of our lives. Two, Obama is a radical lefist who will appoint radical liberal judges to legislate from the benches. Three, Obama is a radical leftist who has shady past and associations (Ayers, Rezko, and radical coomunity groups like ACORN). Four, Obama is a radical lefist who have pushed for the policies that allowed the recklessness of Fannie and Freddie which is the root of our economic problem today. Stay on message.

This is not a campaign. It is a taxpayer-funded farewell tour. It’s a real shame he is taking so many others down with him. I’m just glad he’s given us Sarah Palin along the way.

If McCain goes down badly, then Palin is damaged goods. I don’t see her presence on the ticket as a consolation, in that sense.

An embarassment.

He waited nearly 2 weeks and about 7-8 percentage point gains by Obama to start “naming names” on Mae and Mac.

What really ticked me off was his response to that questioner in Minnesota. We most certainly ARE SCARED Senator McCain of an Obama-Reid-Pelosi leadership for our country. If you dont feel that way why the heck are you running?

.

McCain is losing this campaign because he refuses to fight Obama and his lies, and dirty tactics such as ACORN voter fraud. He’s just been rolling over (or bending over, I should say) and accepting the abuse heaped upon him- and expecially Sarah Palin.

The anemic attempts by the McCain camp to fight back within the last few days just ain’t gonna get it.
He should have been hitting Obama back hard months ago.
He needs to get out there every day and FIGHT BACK.
Email Republican headquarters/McCain.

The messages are incoherent.

Actually, the tragedy of this election is that McCain has to depend largely on the mainstream media to relay his message.....

And the mainstream media is doing its best to make McCain sound incoherent.

Could McCain perhaps go around them? Yes, but only so many people in America are tuned in to the alternative media, the Internet, talk shows, Fox News, etc.

The CNN's and ABC's of this world are grabbing on to every little bad press blip they can find on the McCain campaign, and pushing it front and center.

With Obama, they just play over and over Obama saying that Bush-is-McCain-is-Bush-is-McCain..... and so on.

McCain should have started months ago painting Obama as a radical due to Ayers, Wright, Farrakhan, etc. It might be too late.

"largely on the mainstream media to relay his message"

I don't know. I've gotten to where I can't stand to hear him speak d/t he goes off on some ridiculous tangent about how wonderful Obama really is, and how he's going to take the bailout one step further and rewrite mortgages, and how he just can't wait to continue reaching across that aisle. I think he'd be polling in the 20s if he had media coverage. Shame he won't get in line with 80% of voters on economics and win this election by a landslide. It was his to lose and he's apparently out to do it with flare.

“There is a lot of doom and gloom trolls lately!

They are more heavily invested in defeat than they claim McCain is.

You really have to pity them, they honestly believe, if they aren’t actually trolls and plants, that their pronouncements of giving up, and cursing McCain, actually amount to more than what they are. A belch from a bee in a hurricane.

McCain's best decision in the Presidential campaign was picking Sarah Palin as his running mate. Since that courageous choice, things haven't gone McCain's way and for good reason. Not only has McCain run a lousy campaign, inconsistent and uncertain. He dealt poorly with a serious blow to the stock market that virtually took the wind out of his sails and knocked him out of the lead he was holding in most polls.

At the same time, Obama did a good job of linking McCain to Bush and his cohorts in the media have done a good job of running cover for their candidate at every turn.

Presidential politics is all about having that fire in the belly to win. With 24 days to go, times running out and coming from behind is no easy chore. Gov Palin has done her job and then some. The last debate is McCain's final chance to speak to the American people on a grand scale and convince the undecided voters why they should choose McCain on election day.
