Thanks for the advice! I guess Honda parts are very marketable. This was the first hit on the car and concerned it will happen again so trying to figure out a way not to let them have any more pieces. It is a 1999 with over l50,000 miles but runs great.

Since they’re trying to take the wheels, look into getting some wheel locks too.
Also look into if your local police department has a “car watch” or similar program.

My dad in the wilds of Pennsylvania uses vaseline on the pole of his bird feeder to keep the squirrels out. It is quite funny to watch them try to climb the pole only to slip down.
For your type of vermin I would suggest an continuous line of razpor blade/razor wire along all the edges.

You need to put on some latex gloves and rub your signs down heavily with this:

Thanks called the Danbury CT police to report. They said there is nothing they can do. But did offer up this statement “If they were pro’s there would be nothing left but the chassis”.
It is amazing how many cars drive around Danbury,CT with no hub caps. So sad too, because this use to be a wonderful city to live.

Take 12 gauge shotgun shells, remove the pellets, and replace with rock salt. wait in the bushes let them get about 10 feet away and let her go. I guarantee dam tee you they will not be back. Perhaps the cops will be back but not the sign snitch.. He will be in the emergency room having a very bad time..

Put pepper spray or hot peppers on the vaseline
Last presidential the bastards in my area stole a total of 15 & right before the election someone made this suggestion. I have had one sign up w/o assault so far BUT I have it closer to my home. I had it closer to the road (maybe 15 feet) last election cycle

Fresh red chillies (the hottest ones you can find). Take the seeds (seeds are the hottest part) and crush and mix with a little bit of vinegar, mix with the hottest Chinese cooking oil, then coat.
Not cheap, but then again when the perp goes to rub eyes, pick nose, or whip out his little..... to take a leak: PRICELESS!

So far just vaseline. I woke up today and the two signs were still there. My traps are still set. =) My one neighbor saw me applying the goo so I am curious to know which one is doing it... I suspect a neighbor...

Tanglefoot Insect Trap adhesive. Very weather resistant, sticky as hell and nasty. I guarantee you that unless they have hot water and lava soap available on site they will ruin their clothes and car interior.

How about that blue stuff you put on dog wounds? It’s got iodine in it, is blue forever.

Actually hurting someone isnt fun Perhaps not 'fun' but sometimes certainly necessary.
In a saner time, when this was still a free country, rocksalt via 12ga would've been applauded as a vandal-ridding community service.
Personally, I think the cowardly bastards deserve at least some birdshot.
Patience tho, day's likely coming, and sooner rather than later...

No kidding. I can remember trespassing through some fields as a young lad where this was a very real risk. And, had I come home with a butt full of rock salt, my father would have been angry - AT ME, for trespassing and knowingly putting myself in such a situation.
