I know, "yawn, another vanity post" but seriously, are not all of our posts, and FR itself, vanity? I just wanted to throw a couple comments out there.
Obama responded to McCain tonight, "He's right, I don't understand. I don't understand why we invaded a country that never attacked us...." This view is so seriously flawed. Senator Obama, prior to our involvement at WWII with Germany, where and when did Germany attack the United States? The plain truth is that Germany represented a threat to the region, just as Iraq did under an unstable dictator. Yet no one questions the our victory in WWII as being ill advised. Obama's world view of security crisis is in line with Neville Chamberlain.
Secondly, on health care, although the question was phrased as a false dilemma, Obama stated that he believed that health care is a "right", while McCain indicated that it was a "responsibility." This is a significant peak into Obama's radical soul, a radical statement that has incredible significance. Health care cannot by definition be an inalienable right as a man crafted solution to a problem cannot be considered inherent to our created being. He therefore must have been thinking that it would be a state crafted civil right. A state created civil right of health care is more radical than than anything in recent history. I think Reagan would have called him out on both of these comments and exposed Obama for the radical he is.
Perhaps Obama thinks Germany bombed Pearl Harbor!!
Actually what this election is coming down to, is which candidate loves this country more.
“Obama thinks we bombed Pearl Harbor and blamed it on Japan to start a world war.”
One slight correction. Obama thinks we bombed Pearl Harbor and blames the U.S. for starting the war with Japan. We didn’t use all the diplomacy we had to stop ourselves from bombing ourselves. We should not have responded to Japan. It’s really the fault of the U.S. that we were bombed.
No.
I just wanted to throw a couple comments out there
And the dozens of post-debate threads didn't have a big enough spotlight for your pearls of wisdom?
I just received a headache from your logic. LOL
That’s how liberal logic works!
It drives me crazy!!!!!!
I did forget on e crucial detail.
Obama was for taking action against Japan until we bombed ourselves. Here is turns out all Obama wanted was more DIPLOMACY and maybe a few SANCTIONS. Now he’s appalled at the death of the Japanese that mysterious appeared at Pearl Harbor.
Oxymoronic =liberal and logic
Yup! “Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?”
“...the Germans?”
“Forget it, he’s rolling.”
“And it ain’t over now!...Let’s...DO IT!”
A positive right to health care implies that skilled providers have a duty to provide it, whether they get paid for their services or not.
This is tantamount to slavery.
I understand McCain didn’t get the victory last night, but he should at least stay and shake hands. NOBAMA did. He should have sent the Baracuda in to sub.
I did not see or hear debate, it was over by the time I got up.
Didn’t we attack germany, tho, because they were in an expressed strategic alliance with japan? not to mention the decades worth of calls for american intervention from our european allies.
not to disagree with your premise, which is true — obama is wrong — but as the son of a WWII veteran, it bothers me when people bend over backwards to compare every situation to the great wars.
They were also sinking our freighters going to Britain. This analysis doesn’t hold up.
