McCain's proposed take-over of all bad mortgages was an idiotic attempt to pander.
I think he has one "hail mary" left...step down and let Sarah lead the ticket
What do you think the $700 bln bailout was? Congress already passed it, and Bush signed it into law.
Yeah, right. That’s the ticket.
NOT
Sorry........I really like Palin, but McCain needs to be at the top of the ticket.
I’m for Palin 2012. Does this year REALLY matter?
I think four years of the Republicans on the outside looking in is necessary for the Party to re-establish what the GOP really stand for: conservative ideals and a strong defense. Besides, not hearing “Bush’s fault” for four years.....PRICELESS! Palin/Romney 2012!
Palin/Romney 2012!
Let’s not anoint another RINO.
How about Palin/Jindal
or
Palin/Cantor?
I’ll let you decide.
The bailout does not allow renegotiation of loan terms. The rats have proposed to give judges the power to renegotiate loan terms. I think that McCain agrees with the rats in principle about renegotiating loan terms. I think it is disasterous policy. Everyone behind on a mortgage will now feel that they should have new loan terms. We may be seeing the end of the mortgage market. Mortgages will be turned into a government subsidized program like student loans.
well, the problem is 3-4 leftist supreme court justices for life....otherwise I wouldnt care.
by the way, the fox news people are all really down. that says a lot
Seems like it really doesn’t matter to McCain. Could he try any harder to play Mr. Bipartisan? Hey, McCain, you have all of your independents already! How about getting your conservatives to jump aboard?
Best move he could make in the final debate: send Palin out as a surprise pinch-hitter.
Unbelievable....what is the difference between government home ownership and communism?
he picked Palin to appeal to his base. Now he figures he’s got his base, so he gives them the finger. Doesnt he realize that every time Bush tried to pander, like the education bill, Campaign Finance reform, Prescription drugs, that he got no credit at all from the so called “independents”? Is any bleeding heart going to switch to mccain for taking over mortgages? no
Sorry but you must have a short memory. Even when the Dems controlled both houses and the presidency, or both houses the Republicans still got slaughtered in the MSM.
Reagan was the only one who could do what he did and overcome the imbalance and win. Even as popular as he was they excoriated Reagan at every chance they got.
OK, I decided. Palin/Romney 2012.
McCain didn’t advocate allowing re-negotiation of mortgages that are owned by investors, but the ones that are purchased by the Treasury. Not saying I’m for it, just saying there is a difference.
What did McCain advocate? It sounded to me that wants to allow homeowners to remain in their homes with the mortgage terms changed.
