Even if a lot of it made it to the ground it may never be found unless it landed in or near a city. Sudan is a big place with lousy communications. Depending upon what the rock was made of nothing may be left of it. It may have exploded in the upper atmosphere or there may be a 10 foot chunk of it in a hole in the desert.

I was expecting at least visual reports of the fireball. Maybe just haven’t trickled out yet. NRO satellites would also be expected to detect the flash, although you might not be seeing the data. There should also be at least a few terrestrial videos and airliner crew reports.
