I understand Jim. My point is that I would hope we just wouldn’t be so quick to call people trolls and give out zots.
Part of being a conservative activist to me is to convince people, especially the young, that our ideas are right. Just preaching to the already converted does no good.

Nine years ago I came to FR in fiery defense of Wicca. I was treated politely and, over time, received the best education of my life from this website.
FR used to let people in with dissenting views as long as they were not insulting and had good, reasoned arguments. Dear G-d! I can't imagine where my life would've ended up had I been zotted on the first day! Now I'm a staunch conservative and I've done quite a bit to spread the word over the years.
I say we let everyone in who has a polite way of presenting their views, regardless of what those views are. We might even manage to gain a few more for our side.
Do what you know in your heart is right!

If not, then this is very disturbing for a blog which I have held to be the gold standard of getting the truth out on all issues, faster than anyone else.
