Vanderbuilt did WHAT?

This is historic because it appears that the SEC is now much more balanced than ever. In short, an academically-oriented school is threatening to scare the daylights out of the traditional SEC football powers.

Did you know that there was a time when all the Bama players were Phi Beta Kappa members?

(what an ugly, nerve-wracking game the Tide played today.) It’s great to see Vandy beat that other school in Alabama. :)

I was trying to verify what I said about the Phi Beta Kappa thing, but I’m thinking now that I have confused myself. heh. It wouldn’t be the first time. Bama has had a number of Phi Beta Kappa football players, but maybe not all at once. The academic standards used to be a whole lot more rigid than they are today.
