That situation is just silly. I have to agree that it's more like an in-your-face to carry a visible gun. Besides which, in a confrontation you lose the element of surprise. There are lots of attractive ladies’ purses - large and small - with a buildt-in carry pouch - or holster, if you will.

You lose the element of SPEED by trying to get your firearm out of a concealed holster. There is also a "scare the sheep" problem we are currently dealing with in areas where open carry has be decriminalized because of people who have long advocated "concealed or nothing" crap.

People aren't used to seeing law abiding civilians with openly carried arms. If you stop and think about it, how many criminals are openly sporting a firearm?

It conflates concealed carry with criminal carry.

This attitude must change.

I view open carry as a right first then I think that it also reminds criminals that there could be more concealed guns in the audience so don’t get carried away with criminal acts.
