“THIS IS A HUGE SCANDAL PEOPLE! IT WILL DESTROY DNC!”

That is doubtful. This does not make for good sound bites except from the Dems and msm talking about the 12 republicans who did not vote for the sham. Never mind that 94 members of Pelosi’s own party did not vote for it.

The general public will not take 30 minutes to learn what this is all about. The 30 second sound bites are all they need to feel fully informed. This will truly be their (the citizens) own fault.

The citizens though will fall back to their comfort zones, mouthing the words of their dem masters and blaming Bush and the Republicans. Doing that will do nothing and make them feel back in control in some pathetic way.

Where are we going? Who among them wants to come along as REAL Americans pick up from the mess, and get back to living?

Normally Americans face adversity and forge ahead. I think too many on the other side are drinking too much of their own Kool Aid and are really believing their own poison.

McCain has a chance to step ahead as the strong leader of a strong party that faced the problem and made things work. If he does not show any difference than the Dems and obama he will offer no good alternative to them.

The current momentum will care along and that is not showing it is our momentum. The Republicans will not build on the success they are having moving the ball despite being in the minority in congress.

The very fact that 94 dems voted against the bill shows they have concern for the country! Their vote shows they are open for another direction and the republicans should invite them to form and alliance. One for REAL CHANGE and success and do the things most of us know needs to be done.

That is not passing a diamond parachute bill that rewards the wall street companies that made this mess so bad to start.

I think you're not getting it yet. Pres. Bush was calling for reform of Fannie Mae in 2003, and I think I heard Rush say he tried more than a dozen times to get something done. If only Pres. Bush would stand up for himself, but as Rush explained today, he thinks Pres. Bush considers that sort of thing "partisan" and beneath the office. While that is admirable from the Statesman point of view, it isn't helpful in the current situation.

Further, Senate Hearings were held in 2004, chaired by Maxine Walters (I believe?) in which Republicans sternly warned there were problems with Fannie Mae. (Those were the soundbites played on Sean's show.) The response? Maxine Walters glossed over it and claimed it was (paraphrase) "doing its job of getting people into houses" and I think the soundbite was the voice of Chuck Schumer claiming that the Republican complaint amounted to a "public lynching of Frank Raines." Needless to say, the Democrats BLOCKED reform of Fannie Mae in 2004.

In 2005, Sen. McCain co-authored a bill to reform Fannie Mae and this also was blocked by Democrats, with Barney Frank leading the charge.

I'm not sure what the dozen or more things Rush was referring to about Pres. Bush trying to get something done, but I trust him that he has the data.

THIS NEEDS TO GET OUT THERE... and there is still 5 weeks left.. plenty of time for this to hit the public. Its going to have to be pushed by RNC and the McCain campaign in advertisements all over the country. If this was a Republican debacle, every liberal rag and the liberal media would be hounding it every minute of every day. So its true that this will require a serious effort, but it can be done.

We all need to call RNC and McCain campaign and demand they run this info into the ground with advertisements. The American people deserve to know that this program was created by the Carter Administration and altered twice by Democrats with huge penalties to lenders who did not offer sub-prime loans and that Democrats have blocked all of these efforts to rein it in before it blew up.

We all need to call/write Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity to ask them to keep up the attack and keep playing those Senate Hearing soundbites until the word is out there.

Also: We need to ask Matt Drudge to post this information. Maybe he will see fit to help get the word out.
