McCain cannot lose "IF" he siezes this opportunity. VANITY

Posted on 09/29/2008 12:35:00 PM PDT by 1Old Pro

1) Bush is a lame duck, McCain must step up and act like President. 2) Start now, more press conferences. 3) START each press conference with the video of the house/senate hearings on FNMA/FRMAC oversight. Tell the press before rolling the tape that they have failed to report how the Democrats were complcit with the failure of oversight of Fannie mae and Freddie Mac. Tell the press that all your press confeences will begin with that tape until they finally report it. 4) Now say, now that we see the fault of this mess is Obama, Pelosi, reid, Frank and reid, we can begin to discuss a solution.

Mock Obama for "calling in" druing this ccrisis, not ready to lead.

McCain can now be the EXPERT ON THE ECONOMY , but only if he siezes this moment and does NOT let the media spin this into blaming the GOP.

This means McCain must immediately GO ON THE OFFENSIVE , and must blame the democrats and stop being Mr. bi-partisan and "sharing blame"

I’m so glad you posted this b/c I’ve been thinking the same things all day. If Rush can play those audios of Maxine Waters, Barney Frank, et al, then where they hell are the 527’s playing the video? I’m just a simple stay-at-home mom, but even I can figure out what needs to be done!!!!

McCain needs to look no further than Bush to see where refusing to fight liberal lies and media memes gets ya.

A lost legacy.

REV WRIGHT. RIGHT NOW.

He’s dropping in the polls because he supports this Bailout Charade.
The mo he gained from picking Palan has been more than lost by his support of this very unpopular bill.

"they were both hysterical drama queens. "

Isn't that the truth! Somebody needs to smack Lindsey Graham. Who does he think he's "representing" anyway?

Damn Straight. Last week I was pissed at the House GOP, but now I agree with them. They showed some backbone and realized that Bush is worthless at this point.

McCain has nothing to lose, and better fight to win this thing and save Palin’s career.

Rush played the Reverend Wright tapes today, and is fighting harder for McCain, than McCain is.

GO NEGATIVE JOHN!!

“I’m just a simple stay-at-home mom, but even I can figure out what needs to be done”!!!!

...just a side not. Please don’t say you’re “just a simple stay-at-home mom”. My wife stays home and I see everyday how complicated it is. She’s raising 2 of the greatest girls ever to walk the earth! I’m sure you’re doing the same. You may now continue with your regularly scheduled program.

I was sick after hearing Lindsey say that Pelosi must find the votes NOW! That only means McCain is on board, too. Thankfully, Rush was on fire today and is trying his hardest to help McCain. Rush said to BUCK UP—it’s up to us now. And will someone please answer why FR is soooooooo slow???

Quit whining and do something. Email/call friends, talk at the water cooler, get the truth out. This is a fight to the finish. By your mentality we should have quit the war in 1944.

McCain has a bum looking spokesman on Cavuto’s show. The guy is an idiot. If this is the stance Mccain is going to take, he will lose this one.

I give up on him.

You are right. McCain has put himself on the wrong side of this issue.

I’m not exactly sitting around with my you know what in my hand, doing nothing.

But I am stating the truth, as unpleasant as it is.

The MSM is in the tank for Obama, and it will be next to impossible to overcome.

Wait until the Palin debate - one gaffe and it’s going to be the lead story 24/7

Meanwhile, Obama gets a pass on the bracelet issue and other things, while Palin will be under a microscope.

Biden could show up drunk for the debate and shit his pants and the MSM would ignore it.

I’m not being negative, but realistic.

Has McCain unsuspended his campaign yet? /sarc

I would assume so, yes.

McCain took what could have been a great idea last Wednesday (suspend the campaign until the "crisis" was fixed, and ran it straight into the ground.

1. McCain gave up ad slots on TV, and Obama snapped those up.
2. McCain indicated it was imperative that he return to Washington to lead by example, yet he had time to go NYC to attend Bill Clinton's Global Initiative meeting Thursday night.
3. Obama said he was going to be at the debates Friday night, and McCain's camp responded by saying that he'd show up if there was a working bill. There wasn't, but McCain showed up to debate anyway.
4. There was no mention of the campaign being "suspended "today, and McCain was in Iowa, even though the bill was in Washington, going down in flames.

Meanwhile, I'm about ready to unplug my phone to keep a dear (but very liberal) friend from calling and crowing.
