They’re lucky. I’d have come after them with a shotgun to remove their appendages, instead of with a lawyer.

Take the cancer death sentence or lose Willie? Tough choice but I’d want the right to make the decision myself. I’d at least like for Willie to have a chance to say goodbye.

Seaton has suffered mental anguish, pain, and has lost the enjoyment of life, according to the lawsuit. Do you think? On the other hand, if it was cancerous, it was going to fall off anyway.

As a urologist, I have to say that the plaintiff does have a point(pun intended). Penile cancer is a deadly disease, and penectomy is the only effective treatment, but carries some serious psychological freight, and the doctor should have waited to counsel him properly.

There is no excuse for this. The doctor claims he found cancer and had to amputate. Squamous cell carcinoma of the penis (or skin anywhere) is not so much of an emergency that the patient could not have been allowed to recover from the anesthetic and with a clear mind make an informed decision as to the proper course of treatment.
This falls into the category of willful recklessness on the part of the physician - beyond malpractice. The anesthesiologist should be dismissed from the suit. He had no voice in the decision to amputate.

Last words of the penis: “I’ve been in many a fistfight but never thought they’d pull a blade.”
To: Renfield
According to the lawsuit, Philip Seaton, 61, went to have a circumcision last October ... Seaton said when he woke up from the procedure, he realized his penis had been amputated. Seaton has ... lost the enjoyment of lifeAge 61 and he still equates enjoyment of life with Mr. Happy. He had better take up a hobby real quick.
