Not saying he would have been correct, but I think Beatty was at least complicit, if not a direct participant, in Natilie Woods death. How so? Because he 'messed up' her life so badly that she had gone back to the bottle? (I believe she was a heavy drinker). Beatty was nowhere near the boat or Catalina Island that night, but Christopher Walken was.

If Beatty did that, then he plays a similar role that Andy Dick did to Phil Hartman's wife (reportedly Andy gave her some cocaine at a party after she'd already gotten clean and went downhill from there eventually killing her husband and herself).

I don’t know what her opinion of Beatty was when she died or what caused her drinking problem, but I thought that when Beatty eventually moved on, Natalie was truly heartbroken and carried a torch for him for a long time.
