My step-dad—84—has dissed most of my reporting of alternative news until the last year or so . . .
recently, I noted some of the looming possibilities/probabilities and his comment was . . .
‘That would be good. This country needs a Great Depression. Will build character.’
I don’t think he realizes quite the severity.
On the other hand, even more recently, I noted that a number of folks are predicting that Americans will be eating aborted babies and even hastening the death of loved ones so that they can have a meal. He didn’t balk at the idea. He noted that it had happened before—with God’s chosen people—in the Old Testament.
My dad passed away in 2007 at the age of 97
He always felt that myself & m kids had it too good & did appreciate what we had.
And he was probably right ;-)
