The sionnsareens are having difficulty getting home. Two planes in a row had mechanical failures so almost 4 hours after planned departure they're still at the airport. But they're now booked on a different airline, getting home this evening.
(I went through something of the same yesterday -- my flight to Amsterdam was delayed so late I couldn't make the connection home. So KLM booked me onto BA with connection in Heathrow Terminal 5. Plane was late, so I arrived with only 20 minutes to make my connection, which included a trip through security. Made it, but with only a minute to spare.)
