I’m a Canadian — and I feel so proud of Sarah Palin, as a woman, as a Governor, as an American, as an Alaskan — that I could feel tugs at my heartstrings to put on my mukluks and pack my coldweather gear and my computer and move to Alaska. I think other Canadians are reacting to Sarah as I am.

There could be a migration to Alaska because of Sarah (and Todd), and I think the tourist trade could expand tremendously. North Americans cannot help but feel the pull of the wilderness and the strength of the people who live there, after having been exposed to the remarkable Palins.

I was so very impressed with Todd Palin, and it was apparent that there is a fantastic solidity to that marriage, with such an obvious mutual respect. The First Dude is as amazing in his way, as his equally amazing wife.

Can’t help but feel the country - any country - is in good hands with people like this.

Okay, I love your Northern pride, and agree with your feelings about Todd and Sarah- but the last thing many Alaskans want is MORE tourism. A lot of us think the cruise ships have already decimated SE Alaska, and we’re not exactly thrilled with it spreading northward in recent years. We don’t want to be Orlando North! I suggest instead everyone use their travel money to head east to D.C. to visit the Palins there once they move in.
