Paula Deen is having her highness Michelle Obama on her show next Saturday.

Where does this stupidity end?

I have nightmares involving Michelle Obama.

The last time I watched Paula's show she had to be “bleeped” out twice. On that same show she sent her son's on a beer run and they came back acting like they had been very successful.

Maybe she can have Sarah Palin on and Sarah can talk about running marathons and the benefits of lifelong fitness.

Or maybe they could discuss the virtues of moderation.

Or why accents are best when natural.

Or how Michelle Obama touched a decorative Bible in Paula’s house and it burned her hand.

To be fair, she has an autographed picture of Jack Kingsley in her restaurant in Savannah and he’s really conservative, though I do think Paula leans to the left a little (i.e., the Carters, she’s appeared on Oprah and now this). I still like her though.

The Food Network is on the road to Suck. All the real chefs are being replaced by nobodies. There's less and less actual cooking. I see that they have some manufactured geek who talks about the "science" of food - which means my dear genuine geek, Alton Brown, is next on the chopping block.

Never could stand Paula but at least she cooks.

I should have known about Bourdain - a far left person I am forced to have contact with occasionally was raving about him and his show. Recently I happened upon the show and was stunned because he was in India somewhere just smoking and drinking and making rather rude comments about a wedding party he had been invited to.

Does he cook on the show or just smoke and drink?

I don’t watch the show, but someone in my household does watch it and I leave the room. But yes he mostly just travels and trys out the food where he is at.

He is no chef in my opinion.
